If you’re feeling especially tired this weekend and just want a sure-fire drink that you know you won’t be disappointed in – look no further than “The Daily.” Conveniently located in Carytown, Richmond this hot spot attracts people from all walks of life.
Happy Hours are not something us gals take lightly; being broke college students our relentless pursuit of finding the perfect martini (and cheapest happy hour) is an ongoing struggle. However, The Daily provides great relief.
Buckle your seatbelt ladies because you’re about to have your mind blown… Or just be drunk whichever comes first. The Daily offers $5 off ALL specialty martinis during HH. We suggest the Watermelon Kombucha martini ($5 during HH, $10 otherwise). This martini offers all those probiotics you have been telling yourself you’d drink while you worked out for your New Years Resolution. Don’t worry, there’s always next year.
Pair this deliciously sweet drink with fried calamari ($8.95) or the pan roasted mussels ($11.95) and it’s like the beach is brought straight to your plate. The sweetness of the drink balances out perfectly with the natural saltiness of seafood. Or choose from any other of their delicious appetizers! Select ones are half off during happy hour, starting at $4.95 this place surely won’t break your piggy bank.

Don’t have a sweet tooth? Looking for something more refreshing? Try their Cucumber martini ($5 during HH). This cooling drink is like drinking spiked spa water, in a good way. Make your meal extra green by pairing it with their made-to-order guacamole! Fresh guac and an ice cold martini sounds like heaven to us. Looking to explore a less caloric route? Hold the guac and get a nice heaping helping of their seasoned edamame ($4.95). The coolness of the cucumber balances out the spiciness of the chili sauce making for the perfectly zen meal.

What adds to this restaurant’s greatness is their options for our gluten free and vegetarian/vegan friends. Not only are there a plethora of options, but they’re all tasty and bursting with flavor. If you’re looking for a more upscale Richmond ambiance, this is the place to go. Plus you won’t feel heavy or weighed down after a meal there, all of their ingredients are fresh and mostly organic. It’s a great option to have when you want to eat out but are tired of the grease-laden foods around Richmond. Not that we don’t love our Philly cheesesteaks and oven baked cheese fries, but a gal needs a break every once in a while!
The Daily is a great place to relax on the weekend. With a vibrant color scheme and buzzing nightlife, this surely tops our list as one of the best nightlife destinations in Richmond. Tasty food and a great martini. The bartenders are pretty cute too… What more could a gal ask for?
